Warm introductions, priced before they are used.
Cascand keeps a record of how the people you know connect to the people you want to reach. When a warm route exists, it prepares the introduction request for you to send, and it weighs what asking costs that relationship before it suggests spending a favor. A warm path is not free, and Cascand treats it that way.

Reach Rowan Ellery, VP of Sales at Fennimore Group
A close, recent relationship. Never asked for an introduction.
Same distance, but the relationship is looser, and David already opens doors for a lot of other people.
Sarah's path is the strongest real route to Rowan, and asking costs nothing: you've never spent this favor.
Both routes to Rowan are two hops. From the relationships recorded in your account, Cascand ranks each route by its weakest link, not its length, then prices what using one would cost.
How it works
How a warm route is chosen.
- Step 1
Cascand knows the connections you give it.
The relationship graph is built from what you import or tell Cascand: who you know and how they connect to the people and companies you want to reach.
- Step 2
It ranks each route by its weakest link.
Of the routes it knows about, Cascand scores each by the strength of its weakest link.
- Step 3
It prices the ask.
Relationship capital is the goodwill a relationship can spend. Cascand records each ask you make and counts it against a route, so an introduction that would overuse a favor is not recommended.
- Step 4
It prepares the request. You send it.
Cascand drafts the introduction request to your connector, citing only your own relationship with them. You send it yourself and tell Cascand how it went.

Reach the VP of Sales at Northstar Systems.
Through Sarah, who worked with her for years. Strong at every link.
Through Jordan, a thin connection you asked for a favor last month.
Recommends Route A, drafts the note to Sarah, and sets Jordan aside: not worth the goodwill today.
In your hands
What you control.
- Which connections Cascand knows about, since you declare them.
- Whether an introduction request goes out at all: it is a draft until you send it.
- When to skip a route, with a reason that is recorded.
The graph knows the connections you import or declare. Cascand does not infer them from your inbox or LinkedIn.
